Dust free heat protection

ISO-straw is made from straw, and otherwise nothing. Several dust extractions and a sophisticated production process, make the insulation almost dust-free during any processing.

Natural heat protection

ISO-Straw dampens heat peaks successfully. The high density, paired with a very good heat capacity, leads to one of the best insulation features one can have during summer.

Temperature profile

For the analysis of the heat protection during summer, we simulated the temperature changes inside of the building components during a hot summer day:

1. ISTRAW Straw panel (38 mm)

2. Installation level (30 mm)

3. AGEPAN OSB/3 PUR (12 mm)

4. ISO-Straw 043 blow-in insulation (360 mm)

5. STEICOprotect H (60 mm)

6. Klimasan-W (10 mm)

* The phase shift shows the time in hours, after the heat maximum of the afternoon heat has reached the inside of the building component. ** The amplitude dampening describes the decrease of the temperature wave as it goes through the building component A value of 10 means, that the temperature on the outer side varies 10 times more than on the inner side. E.g. outside 15-35°C, inside 24-26°C. *** The temperature amplitude ratio TAR is the inverse of the dampening: TAV = 1/amplitude dampening.
